Darius Slay is changing his jersey number The Eagles’ top cornerback will have a new look moving forward. Photo by Mitchell Leff/Getty Images Darius Slay is taking advantage of the NFL loosening their jersey number restrictions. The Philadelphia Eagles cornerback will no longer be wearing No. 24 and instead will be sporting the No. 2 jersey moving forward. Slay previously expressed his interest in switching to No. 2 on Twitter. Miles Sanders also had an interest in that number but the veteran clearly won out. Slay has a history with No. 2; he wore it when he played junior college football at Itawamba Community College in Fulton, Mississippi. A nice homage to his path up to the NFL.
