Juneau, Alaska (KINY) -- The Juneau Douglas City Museum held a short, outdoor reception on Monday afternoon for its newest exhibit.
Called Dark Nights, Winter Lights, the exhibit is a string light display right next to the museum on Calhoun Avenue. It was designed by freelance director and light designer, Bill Conrow.
"When [the museum director] asked me to do this, I thought the perfect thing to do is to come up with something that symbolizes how we're all feeling right now," said Conrow. "That's why I put the heart in the middle."
Conrow worked with the Youth Employment in the Parks program through the Zach Gordon Youth Center to set the display up. He said they spent four afternoons through snow, wind, and rain to light up the park.
