Day of service goes on amid pandemic on Martin Luther King Jr. Day

The Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday is considered a national day of service, and that tradition continued Monday in New Hampshire despite the pandemic.
The New Hampshire Council of Churches celebrated the holiday for the 39th year. It was held virtually this year, and even though the event clearly had a different look and feel, King's message of equality and healing still rang true.
"We don't have to finish the work of transforming society, but we do have to participate in doing the hard work that will move our society forward," said Rabbi Beth Davidson, of Temple Adath Yeshurun.
