The delta variant, first identified in India, is a mutation of the coronavirus with increased transmissibility, according to the CDC. Dr. Joe Chang, Chief Medical Officer for Parkland Health and Hospital Systems says that the delta variant is quickly becoming a dominant strain in North Dallas.
