Reports to: Regional Director, EMECA Department: Regional Leadership - Indirect About CRS Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is the official international humanitarian agency of the Catholic community in the United States. CRS works to save, protect, and transform lives in need in more than 100 countries, without regard to race, religion or nationality. CRS’ relief and development work is accomplished through programs of emergency response, HIV, health, agriculture, education, microfinance and peacebuilding. Background The Europe, Middle East and Central Asia (EMECA) region encompasses country programs in Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon (covering Jordan, Syria and Cyprus), Jerusalem/Gaza/West Bank, Egypt and Greece, as well as Europe Zonal office in Sarajevo and program offices in Moldova and Serbia. Registration is currently being pursued in Yemen and Pakistan, and the region also supports partners in over 20 outreach countries. Main programming areas are emergenc y response, education, livelihoods, shelter, and peacebuilding.
