it's a remarkable thing that you guys discovered. this was a joint effort by the tunnel task force made up of whom? >> right. our san diego tunnel task force is made up of agents from i.c.e., the drug enforcement administration and the border patrol. >> there's a lot of sophisticated equipment, but you found this tunnel based on a tip, right? >> this was a really good tip that really paid off. we got a phone call saying a truck would be picking up a load of dope at a warehouse. we had a number of warehouses on the otay mesa under surveillance, and luckily the information on thanksgiving day matched what we were seeing and lo and behold we found the tunnel that you were just in. >> and you found three tons of marijuana inside the tunnel, another five tons mexican authorities found on a ranch that's associated with this tunnel and the vehicle you guys were following had, what -- had a lot as well, right? >> the tractor trailer we followed away from the tunnel had just about 28,000 pounds of marijuana in it. >> so we're talking about more than 20 tons of marijuana probably ceased from this one tunnel.
