goes after mitt romney as we started to see tonight. the race is actually going to heat up. >> does it matter at this point who comes in first, who comes in second? >> in terms of delegates, remember, 25 delegates are at stake from iowa. doesn't matter. it's not winner take all. it's proportionate. in other words, they're going to divide up eventually the delegates from iowa. bragging rights, david gergen, you want to weigh in. bragging rights are important. if you win by five votes, it's still a, you know, i won, but still for all practical purposes it's a tie. >> i think in some ways it may be more important if santorum wins by a few than if romney wins. if romney wins, he was sort of expected and going to eke it out. if santorum wins, it goes to piers' point. a great comeback. i thought listening to the two speeches tonight, we saw what was happening in this race. mitt romney gave a perfectly confident speech. very much on top of things. santorum makes emotional connections. >> talked about his grandfather and large hands looking at him
