she asked for your opinion on cameras in the supreme court, senator klobuchar, and you said you hadn't given the subject a great deal of thought. i want you to know that i believe public access to our court system is an important issue and having cameras in the courtroom is one way to improve public access. i know this isn't a popular subject with some of the justices on the supreme court and justice souter once famously quipped that the television cameras would have to quote/unquote roll over my dead body for that to happen. he's not on the courts now so that's one less person in opposition. i can respect that opinion but quite frankly it just happens to be wrong from my point of view.
