it is time now for the good stuff. you are about to meet one special teacher from denver. fin landing jumped into action when he found out his 13-year-old student damian was sick. turns out the teenager is in dire need of a kidney and also happens to be homeless. >> over the course of the years i ended up in foster homes because of my medical needs. >> in order to get a kidney damian needed a stable home so his teacher mr. lanning took him in. >> it's been weird. like at first he still called me mr. a lot. >> we are planning on just staying together. i hope for adoption probably. >> he still calls me. you call your teachers mister forever. the pair remain optimistic that damian will soon get a heart. what a big heart to bring had i'm in there. hopefully someone will see this and maybe reach out. >> this is the power of tv.
