what happens in normal years, republicans address the crowd and engage their support for presidential run for the republican party. other republicans talk about where the party is headed. you'll have that today. mitt romney and house minority leader some of the big headlineers today but just as the tea party started shaking up the health care debate last summer, they'll be making waves at c-pac as well. today and tomorrow, you'll see a special panel of tea party leaders. it will be interesting to see how these two groups mesh. the tea party folks are adamant they're separate from the washington establishment and they are definitely outside the beltway. unlike c-pac the tea party groups don't have much of an established hierarchy or money. it's a grassroots movement made up of many small groups. there's certainly plenty of overlap ideologically. today we'll hear about the mount vernon statement, the most influential grassroots leaders signed the statement recommitting their movement to constitutional conservativism. it included tea party members and more established groups. these two movements have been
