mainstream. like the former cabinet member long out of power but carrying the title "secretary" as a lasting tribute to the days he was in power. there must be a better way to tap these guys' brains. the former ceo who could move mountains, the former senator who could move bills, the former president who could move nations. now, puttering around retirement, calling out audibles to those who will not listen and further, do not care. you know we are a great nation, great untapped talent. folks in little need of money but in great possession of incredible wisdom. maybe it's the age thing. maybe it's the moving on thing. i just think it's a sad thing. and a bad thing. and i say as much to my friends. before we leave that restaurant. and he just shuffles off on the sidewalk. unrecognized. as he walks down the street. kind of sad. anyways, it does happen, though. that's why i keep my ego in check and remember my dad used to say, "neil, stay humble.
