designers of a shiny, concave glass-covered high rise under construction in central london neglected to factor in one key thing -- when the sun is shining the building produces a glare so intensely hot it is capable of melting cars. abc's lama hasan has more. >> reporter: it glimmers. it shines. and once the construction work is complete, it will be a dazzling, 525-foot, 37-story skyscraper. but make no mistake this has become a menace to anyone who dares to walk by. even melting this jaguar parked across the street. owner martin lindsay says he was shocked. >> someone was taking a photograph of my car. i thought it was strange i walked up to it. i said, what are you doing? they said, have you seen what's happened to your car? she said i think it has how to do with the reflection of the building. >> reporter: the building's developers have since apologized
