accu-weather's stephanie olmo has the forecast. good morning, stephanie. >> reporter: good morning, reena and ryan. conditions are improving across the northeast but the same cannot be said across the southwest region. we are dealing with unsettled conditions as the storm system continues to press to the east producing rain showers across the golden state of california. very beneficial for california as much of the state is in a significant drought. we are concerned for thunderstorms across eastern sections of arizona. as the system continues to press over to the east, we are concerned for a icy mix across the northern edge of texas, especially during the morning hours. now tuesday in to tuesday night, it's really going to ramp up across the eastern sections of the u.s. so another round of messy conditions all across the area. ryan and reena, back to you. >> thank you so much, stephanie. the justice department is expected to announce as a early as this week the result of its investigation in to the ferguson, missouri, police
