that leaves these fuel rods damaged and enormously vulnerable to releasing a lot of radiation. that's why putting dirt in there or sand with boron and lead to shield it from radiation is a possible option. it's not clear whether they are going to do that yet. it would eliminate that part of the problem. if the circulation worked it would get rid of the other part of the problem. it's an ongoing battle here that just shows no signs of letting up and gets worse every day. good thing is so far it releases radiation have been just at the site in the quantities that are dangerous. those hot spots showing up all over japan and the plume with tiny amounts of radiation spreading around the world that. doesn't pose any health threat. the big problem is getting that plant under control, and there is no sign of this happening any time soon. >> i know how experienced you are in these things, but take good care, bob. it's good to see you. thanks so much for your continuing reporting.
