After a suspect threw a bag out his window during a car chase, a narcotics detective jumped into the river, recovering more than a pound of methamphetamine.

MYRTLE CREEK, Ore. – A Douglas County narcotics detective jumped in after a bag containing a large amount of methamphetamine to recover evidence in a drug case, authorities say.
It happened at the bridge over the South Umpqua River in the Myrtle Creek area on Tuesday.
Robert Muniain, 60, of Oakdale, California, was arrested for drug crimes following a long car chase.
