The launch of DhabiSat marks another milestone event for the UAE. WAM
Exploring space seems to come naturally to the UAE. It has made outer space a major venue for mapping groundbreaking scientific research. The first this month was the landmark Hope Probe entering the orbit of the Red Planet. Now comes another milestone: DhabiSat, the second CubeSat, designed by none other than students at the Khalifa University of Science and Technology, with support from partners.
Khalifa University of Science and Technology, Al Yah Satellite Company (Yahsat) and Northrop Grumman announced ‘DhabiSat’ lifted off aboard the Cygnus NG-15 spacecraft on the Antares rocket to the International Space Station (ISS) from the Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia, US.
