DOJ identifies man shot, killed by Wisconsin State Troopers December 16, 2020 9:27 AM Stephanie Fryer Updated: Officials said Joseph R. Crawford, 23, died from multiple gunshot wounds at the scene. Three Wisconsin State Troopers fired their weapons, according to the DOJ. They’ve been identified as Trooper Keegan Williams, Trooper Alexander Polizzi and Trooper David Heinisch. Williams has five years of law enforcement experience. Polizzi has three years of law enforcement experience. Heinisch has one year of law enforcement experience. The shooting stems from a traffic stop on Dec. 9. Troopers pulled someone over for speeding on Highway 26 between Watertown and Johnson Creek. Officials said the vehicle briefly stopped, but the driver sped away after a passenger got out.
