Adam and Kylie Stem said they had been waiting for their second stimulus check for months, but when the IRS online system listed their money as deposited, they noticed the account the money went in wasn't theirs. "We need it yesterday," said Adam Stem.Adam Stem has barely worked this year and they said they have been waiting for this money to supplement his wife Kylie's income."It's very stressful," said Kylie Stem. "I take on as many clients as I can to try to up my pay so we don't have to worry so much, but it's still not working ya know. You could only work so much in a day"H&R Block representatives said this is happening to those who took a refund transfer in 2019. They reported that the IRS website may be reflecting that account and they are asking those impacted to check their records. In a statement, H&R block writes: H&R Block understands stimulus checks are vitally important for millions of Americans, and today we immediately deposited millions of stimulus payments to customers' bank accounts and onto our Emerald Prepaid Mastercard®.For Adam and Kylie Stem, even a slight delay is difficult."It's hard to get good rest at night when your house is down to 34 degrees because you can't afford oil right now," said Adam Stem.H&R Block is asking that anyone impacted check their account again, and if the money is still missing, contact them. They suggest using Twitter for a quick reply.
