COVID vaccines were offered at the Walmart Supercenter in McAllen located on the 2800 block of West Nolana Ave. First doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were being administered at that location where information was also shared on the safety and effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccine. "We still don't have a magic pill. We still don't have a magic treatment so people can still die and the fact of the matter is, we do have protection, but with vaccination,” DHSH Regional Health Director Dr. Emily Prot said.
