Dubai: New system to reduce delays for landing, departing aircraft at airports Photo: Supplied Emirates is the first flight that landed at Dubai International Airport with the new operating procedures in place. Dubai is implementing new procedures to create more hourly runway capacity for departing and landing aircraft, in order to reduce the minimum safe separation distance between aircraft. The new system will increase efficiency of landing and departing procedures as well as reduce delays for the aircraft, Dubai Air Navigation Services (Dans) said in a statement.
