The second half of the season started in earnest on Tuesday for the Keota basketball teams when they put the hurt on BGM in a South Iowa Cedar League doubleheader sweep. The girls utilized a strong defensive effort to come away with an emphatic 47-25 victory. Up 13-12 after one, the Eagles gave up just 12 points combined in the final three quarters to gradually pull away from the Bears (0-11). Taylor Kindred connected on six of nine shots to lead the team with 13 points. Sky Weber added 11 points and six boards while Nicole Clarahan chipped in with 10 points off the bench. The Eagles are now 2-5 overall and 1-2 in the league.
