EastEnders star Adam Woodyatt has said that his character Ian Beale may not return to Albert Square until 2022 'at the earliest' amid his break from the soap. 
The actor, 52, is set to appear in a touring production of Looking Dead Good - his first piece of theatre since he was aged 13 after being a core member of the soap cast for 36 years.
Speaking on Thursday's The One Show, Adam said that due to theatre delays amid the coronavirus pandemic, his EastEnders return could be pushed back to 2022 after his exit in January.
