Embracing Local History — Bonus Column— GETTING TO KNOW THE ADAIR COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY AND MUSEUM

For those readers who like local history and don’t already know, the Adair County Historical Society and Museum also publishes a quarterly magazine called “The Adair Historian.” It is 36 pages filled with local history stories of people and places written by local writers. It is published in January, April, July and October for a yearly membership or subscription fee. If you would like to subscribe, contact the Historical Society at 211 S. Elson in Kirksville, MO, 63501, phone 660-665-6502. We are open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 1-4 p.m. A subscription also makes a good gift.
