EMU says it can't take blame for sex assaults it didn't know about

Women accuse Eastern Michigan University regents of failing to adequately respond to sexual assault allegations.
Eastern Michigan University says it can’t be held responsible for women choosing to not report their sexual assaults.
The university on Wednesday filed a response to a lawsuit from 11 women who say the school and two fraternities covered up sexual assaults by several male students and left the female students in harm's way for assaults they endured.
The school categorically denied that assertion in its response to the Title IX lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court in the Eastern District of Michigan.
