County of San Diego Supervisor Nathan Fletcher, a Marine Corps. combat veteran, supported the effort with a $60,000 Neighborhood Reinvestment Program grant from the County.
Genetic testing allowed providers to leverage genomic science to personalize targeted treatment plans for each veteran. Pre and post testing were completed to evaluate the effectiveness of the personalized interventions. There were several participants that started the program with acute symptoms (scoring 1-3) in depression, anxiety, resilience, stress, feelings of overwhelm and overall quality of life. These participants ended the program with improvements of 100% to 600%.
