Milwaukee-based Eppstein Uhen Architects is getting new executive leadership, including its first female president. Rich Tennessen, who is now president, will be moving to the firm's chief executive officer position, with Kristin Dufek shifting from vice president to president. Also, John Chapman was named vice president. Current CEO Greg Uhen will remain on the board of directors through 2023. Uhen will be transitioning from his current design leadership role, selling a majority of his controlling shares in the company, and moving to a more advisory board position for the upcoming years, according to the Thursday announcement. “Many architecture firms get tripped up on succession planning," Tennessen said. "We’ve been planning this for a long time and it’s fulfilling to get past the pandemic, to get to this point."
