Two years into his tenure as an appointed Erie County judge, Marshall J. Piccinini is seeking election to a full 10-year term on the local bench. Piccinini, a former assistant U.S. attorney in Erie who handled the pizza bomber case, announced his election bid on Tuesday in an address livestreamed on his campaign's Facebook page. Piccinini was sworn in as an appointed Common Pleas Court judge in June 2019. Since then he has handled a range of cases: civil and criminal cases and family law and juvenile law matters. He said he has enjoyed "the ability to actually help people solve their problems" as a judge.
