EUSTIS — It’s been almost three months since Eustis Police Chief Craig Capri was sworn in. When he started, Capri said one of his goals was to create a stronger connection between the department and the community with transparency and engagement events. His latest endeavor was Coffee with a Cop, a national program that gets the police force out to a local coffee shop or breakfast spot to meet with citizens and chat about their hopes, dreams and even the weather. Capri and a group of at least a dozen officers met on Friday morning at Jeannie’s Place in Eustis, where community members stopped by to meet men and women in blue.
