The gunman shot another Police Officer in the leg, the officer recovering. In baltimore a sickening assault caught on camera. Local reports say a white and black man got into an argument before the white man was hit in the back of the head with two bricks. Watch this, if you can. Los Angeles Police investigating reports of shots fired at a protrump rally yesterday. Portland Police Still Investigating saturdays deadly shooting of a trump supporter. Police have not officially identified the portland victim, but social media and local reports say the man killed is aaron danielson, a reported member of the conservative group patriot prayer. The suspected gunman is reportedly a man arrested in july according to police for carrying a loaded gun at a demonstration. He was also posted online saying that he is 100 antifa all the way. Oregons radical dem Governor Kate Brown has now authorized state police to return to portland after 94 straight nights of violence and of murder. Governor brown and portlands antifa enabling leftwing radical mayor ted wheeler, however, are both accusing President Trump of inciting tensions there. I could put that out in 45 minutes, and it would stop. And i think the people of portland and the people of oregon i know its a liberal state, considered liberal theyre tired of it. Similar leftwing violence in kenosha, wisconsin, has calmed down a bit of late, thanks to President Trumps decision to send in the national forward and federal Agents National guard and federal agents. Biden failed to call any of the groups including black lives matter and aunt that. Are you surprised antifa. Well, breaking developments today in the case of general Michael Flynn. The d. C. Court of appeals ruled today 82 that judge Emmet Sullivan does not have to dismiss the case against flynn the, overturning the previous decision of a threejudge panel in the same circuit that ordered sullivan to dismiss the case as requested by the Justice Department. Todays ruling from the court said sullivan was within his right to appoint a third party to argue a case against dismissing the case even though both the Justice Department and general flynn agreed to drop the matter. Todays decision is a continuation, perhaps an escalation of the radical dem partnership with the deep state to subvert, first, the campaign and presidency of donald trump and, apparently, the constitution while theyre at it. Beginning in the summer of 2016, the fbi started spying on the Trump Campaign and general flynn. And they did so in an effort to frame him. Straight up, in your face frameup. In january 2017 the Intelligence Community reported russia worked to elect the president. Within weeks the Justice Department and fbi worked to entrap general flynn. The Obama White House was aware of the entire situation. Robert mueller was appointed in may of 2017 to investigate russian collusion. There was no collusion. That resulted in a report that exonerated and vindicated President Trump in april of 2019 when the radical dems failed on collusion in that sham investigation and then special counsel, they tried a sham impeachment which again resulted in no evidence and a failed effort, again, as they tried to remove the president. This is outrageous. Your thoughts. Well, they certainly are getting an education of what has become of our federal judiciary, lou. Call this Michael Flynn exception to the rule of law. The courts made it up for the majority decision. The defense by judges route and henderson are excellent, i would commend those to everyones reading as they actually rely on the law. But, yeah, its quite remarkabling. Lou so what happens now . It sounds as though the Appellate Court just said to the District Court judge, you know, its okay, why dont you play prosecutor here and carry out a case the Justice Department to see whether or not for the first time as far as we know the Justice Department doesnt have the right to dismiss a case, and general flynn has, by the way, no constitutional standing of any kind and the hell with the man because he just served the country honorably and with great distinction and valor. And so just try to persecute him as long as you possibly can, four years now in the effort. Thats the essential determination of the court. Its hard to read it any other way. Its nothing short of appalling, and these are important constitutional issues at stake here not just for Michael Flynn, but for the country as a whole and for the d. Of justice and how the department of justices visavis the federal court. So i would not say this is the end of it. I think there is going to be more litigation to come, unfortunately, but well keep going until the court gets it right. Lou is there before i ask some of the procedural questions here, is there any reason why we should expect anything other than Emmet Sullivan to continue his outrage against general flynn and persistentness . No, absolutely not. Hes made very clear his hatred of general flynn, and he relied on a Washington Post oped by the man he chose to step in and pile on against general flynn in the process of making these rulings. And the court, the court of appeals just rubber stamps whatever he wants to do. Lou is there any point at which the the chief justice of the United States is so embarrassed and so is ashamed of what has become of the federal judiciary and its obvious political corruption that without prompting from any quarter he would reach down to the Appellate Court and to this District Court judge and say do what is right and end this now . I wish he would, but i dont know that hell do that without a petition for writ of certiorari. But that a may be the direction we have to go in next. Were considering several alternatives right now. As ive said before, if thats not enough and the speaker thinks we needed to do more, we could at least come back and do more. With we are having a great economic comeback as weve reopened the economy. Were getting a lot of jobs back, but the president is not done with his work until we get everybody back to work. Has nothing to do with their own issue. Parts of the economy have opened very quickly, parts of the economy still suffer. Lou they are, and at the same time were seeing a remarkable recovery and rebound. There are great pockets of deep, deep economic pain. But overall were seeing some astounding resilience in this economy. The federal reserve, maybe you can help me with the federal reserve. Jerome powell saying he has discovered the phillips curve is no longer in effect, as best as i could understand his policy decision. Give us your reaction to what he has decided which is to have 2 targets that really dont mean much anymore to the fed. Well, let me just, first, say i think chairman powell and the entire fed has done an extraordinary job in this crisis, the covid issues. In really working with treasure true, with we stood up an i enormous amount of emergency facilities, part of the reason why we have the economy reopening as we do. Lou right. I think the feds been trying to get inflation up for a long period of time, there hasnt been much. I think what theyre saying makes common sense, that if you want to average 2 , therell be times when you run higher and times when you run lower. Lou yeah. I thought it made a lot of sense to basically do what the president had said. Why dont you look at the markets, make a determination and dont be reflexive and anticipatory in judgments that are almost wrong when you put the fed in charge of assess eking the economy. I dont know many times that theyve been correct, particularly first time, efforts by first time fed chairmen. I know mr. Powells a friend of yours, and i have have the greatest respect for both of you, but it is an odd fed that weve got right now. Sort of this rediscovering economic reality. Lets turn to, if we may, the virus and the administrations response to it. Out comes the cdc saying that 6 of the deaths that have been reported amongst specifically 161,000, only 6 of them were solely attributable to covid19. I mean,s what is going on with our Public Health agencies . This is becoming alarming, the degree to which were getting new information and different takes on what has actually been going on here now for six months. Well, lou, as you said, thats a very important statistic that they just put out. And as we have been saying all along, for most people this is not a lifethreatening situation, its really just a lifethreatening situation for people who are at high risk with other issues. But weve made enormous progress, and i think youre going to see enormous progress on vaccines quickly, between now and the end of the year. Last week the president made a major announcement with 150 million new point of care tests so they can be contribute distributed to every school in the country so schools can get open safely.
