FBI investigators warned of plans Tuesday for armed protests at all 50 state capitals and in Washington, D.C., in the days leading up to Joe Biden’s inauguration. 
Federal agents are preparing to prevent more bloodshed after last week’s deadly siege at the U.S. Capitol and security teams in Jefferson City have increased patrols at the Missouri State Capitol.
Marked and unmarked patrol vehicles from different law enforcement agencies and branches of state government were parked outside the State Capitol Tuesday as officers patrolled inside. It was a stark contrast to normal operations, though state public security officials said it was part of a routine plan.
