Dr. Jill M. Giordano Farmer, who is on the advisory board of the Cannabis Education and Research Institute (CERI) and is director of the Parkinson’s Disease & Movement Disorder Program at Global Neurosciences Institute, says she tells her patients to first try established medical strategies and if they aren't helpful or not well tolerated, they consider adding cannabis.

I never had any fascination or a particular interest in marijuana. But in the past few years, my patients have been coming to me with questions and I made the decision to find answers. Could medicinal cannabis help their movement disorders? If so, how?
