Today Filomena changed this scene to 30 hour of snow fall. It’s a snowstorm Madrid hasn’t seen for 50 years. Madrid had to close the airport and Rail service was interrupted
Spain has been hit by Filomena with so far 30 hours of snowfall and is the most intense snowstorm in the last 50 years. The city of Madrid is one of the worst-affected areas. The storm was announced days ago with international weather forecasts warning of a kind of snow bomb going down on Madrid and Central Spain, but it arrived even worse than forecasted. King Felipe has suspended all meetings for Monday and Tuesday.
