The blaze broke out in the SEZ3 building On Thursday (January 21) evening, a fire broke out once again in one compartment of the same building, SEZ3 building, at the Serum Institute of India ( SII). Fire fighting operation is currently underway. Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope said, "Serum Institute of India's building in Manjri ( Pune) caught fire due to some ongoing welding work. Insulation material, which is inflammable, was kept near the work site. So far, five deaths have been reported." Earlier in the day, a blaze was reported at the Manjri Plant of the institute. While four workers were rescued from the spot, five people lost their lives to the fire.
