Reports: Potentially impaired driver was allowed to drive away before deadly collision Apr 8, 2021 WARREN — A Trumbull County sheriff’s deputy who was fired last week was part of an investigation by the Ohio Bureau of Investigation after a driver stopped in Braceville in December was let go and involved shortly after in a fatal car accident. Sheriff Paul Monroe last week fired Deputy Dallas Young, who was hired to work at the Trumbull County jail in February 1997 and became a deputy 10 years later. Sheriff’s officials stated in reports that Young violated uniform standards of conduct while responding to a Dec. 2 call of 28-year-old Michael Haehner of Ravenna, who was sleeping in an SUV at Duchess Shoppe gas station on state Route 5.
