The Texas Department of Transportation and Travis County the artery from Trails End Road to Lago Vista, city officials wrote in an advisory. Consequently, officials noted, Travisso and Grand Mesa residents must detour using Goodnight Trail. Across the city, non-emergency travel is highly discouraged given treacherous road conditions. City officials said they were not certain when FM 1431 would reopen, saying a second notification would be issued when that determination is made.
