Former Arizona AG says D'backs owner sent hostile email over Twitter criticism By 11 Comments Former Arizona attorney general Grant Woods says that Diamondbacks owner Ken Kendrick threatened him via email prior to his firing from Phoenix law firm Gallagher & Kennedy after Woods criticized Kendrick on Twitter. Woods provided The Athletic with an email he received from Kendrick. In the email, which was copied to G&K managing partner Dean Short and board member Tim Brown, Kendrick called Woods “an arrogant asshole” and said that if the firm’s namesake, Mike Kennedy, “were still with us, he would kick you out of the firm.” He wrote that Woods “should expect a very unfortunate outcome” if their paths ever were to cross.
