He remains jailed on a host of Federal Criminal Charges. Julian Khater is one of two men accused of assaulting several Capitol Police Officers with bear spray during the Capitol riot. He remains jailed, but in a new motion is asking to be released on bail with the help of his family. Police say Julian Khater is seen at the Capitol riot. Shortly afterwards, Police say Khater sprayed bear spray at three Officers. All three were incapacitated for 20 minutes. Since his arrest, Khater has been held for 23 hours a day in a cell at the Correctional Treatment Facility in Washington D.C. and now he wants out. This week, a motion filed in Federal Court arguing for his release. Khater’s Attorney challenges some of the evidence in his case, saying Khater never entered the Capitol or threatened members of Congress, and has no criminal history.
