Highland councillors voted to approve the plans for the former Fairfield Nursing Home although local residents have voiced concerns it could become a house of multiple occupancy (HMO). The 32-bedroom property in Fairfield Road was closed in 2018 following a damning report by inspectors. It is the third time in recent months that a planning application for its future use has come before the council.
