Maybe there is someone brave enough to withstand all of the hatred that democrats have toward trump, to say this is not a conviction we are going to have. But thats a huge thing to ask. His lawyers are not going to advise him to testify. He didnt testify or sit down with special counsel robert mueller, he didnt testify for january 6th. You want testify the criminal trial. Theres no way. His lawyers are pretty sharp lawyers. Theres no way in hell they let him testify this week.
