Free 'Leave No Trace' workshop at Horn Field Campus Feb. 20 Canton Daily Ledger MACOMB—Western Illinois University's Horn Field Campus will host a free "Leave No Trace" awareness workshop from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20. The workshop will introduce the seven principles of "Leave No Trace," the cover, low-impact recreational techniques used to be better stewards of the environment. Participants will receive a certificate for successful completion, which is acknowledged by the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics. Registration is open to the public; masks are required; and CDC guidelines will be followed. The workshop is being taught by WIU graduate student Kassey Trahanas, Mobile, Alabama, who spent several years as an environmental educator, including three years as an eco-tour guide for AmeriCorps and local environmental agencies in costal Alabama. She recently became a Leave No Trace Master Educator.
