Austin-based Freebirds World Burrito is planning a location at the UTSA campus, according to a recent filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The project is named "Freebirds UTSA" and lists 1 UTSA Circle as its planned location. Project details call for renovations to an existing restaurant space to convert into a Freebirds. Joe Izbrand, chief communications officer of UTSA, says UTSA Campus Services and UTSA Dining is working on bringing Freebirds to the campus, but additional information wasn't available by press time.
