Galveston Cancels Mardi Gras-Rodeo Houston Rescheduled Yesterday the City of Galveston made the decision to cancel its 2021 Mardi Gras celebration. Policymakers felt it would be difficult to enforce social distancing and other precautious during the festivities, which draw tens of thousands of attendees each year. The vote to cancel was unanimous and with little discussion, the outlet reported. As we move up the road to Houston, we find that RODEO HOUSTON has not been canceled but rescheduled. RODEO HOUSTON officials are still hopeful that they can pull this off. The original show was scheduled for March 2 – 21.
