By VIRGIL LOPEZ, GMA News Published July 8, 2021 12:07pm Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo on Thursday said the Supreme Court (SC) might decide on the constitutionality of the anti-terror law before the year ends. Speaking to reporters, Gesmundo said it might take some time before the Court can prepare a draft decision given the number of petitions. “But hopefully within the year perhaps we can have a decision on the 37 petitions. Before the year ends,” he said as Associate Justice Rosmari Carandang, the magistrate in charge of the petitions, is set for mandatory retirement on January 9, 2022. The petitioners and the Office of the Solicitor General (OSG) have already submitted their respective memoranda on the case.
