What makes you the best candidate? 2020 was difficult for everyone because of the pandemic, but it also brought racism, hate, and inequity to the forefront of almost every conversation. It is important to have difficult conversations, but unfortunately, there was far too much yelling and we forgot to actually listen to each other. When the demonstrations began on Lincoln Square and on the Battlefield, it was evident that we need a leader who is willing to pause and listen and learn to bring people together. I am that person. We will not always agree on everything, but we can try to be empathetic towards others struggles and we must respect each other as fellow humans first. My entire life experience as a teacher and producer is cemented in my ability to bring people together to work on a common goal. In the past 12 years I have lived here, I have worked to bring peace, love, happiness, and equality to this town. With your help, I will continue to do so with the platform of the Mayorâs Office, which if used correctly can be an incredible voice to move the community forward.
