LELAND — Gloria J. Ventura, 91, passed away Monday, Dec. 14, 2020, at SECU Hospice House, Bolivia. Gloria was born Oct. 21, 1929, in Lodi, New Jersey, and married her high school sweetheart, Joseph B. Ventura, in 1950. They were married until his death in 1995. She is survived by her son, Joseph, and his wife, Karen; and four grandchildren, Tina, and her fiance, Gabriel, Joseph, and his wife, Nicole, Laura, and her husband, Kevin, and Julie, and her boyfriend Rogene; and sister, Betty. Gloria worked at her Italian delicatessen and catering business in Woodcliff, New Jersey, from 1971 until she retired to North Carolina at the age of 84. She loved to cook. Gloria loved watching her soap operas and talking on the phone daily with family and friends. She followed the stock market and politics and loved to discuss the daily news events.
