GOP Rep: 'The Government Is Never Going to Know What Weapons

Rep. Chip Roy declared that the Democrats gun control measures are 'not gonna happen'
Republican Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) has blasted the Democrats' ongoing push for gun control measures, declaring that 
“the government is never going to know what weapons I own.”
The Texas congressman made the declaration during a speech on the House floor on Wednesday.
Rep. Roy warned that bills such as H.R. 8, the Democrats’ universal background checks legislation, are still being debated.
In order to be enforceable, universal background checks require a gun registry.
Roy was making clear that he, and many other law-abiding Americans, are not going to be giving up information on their guns.
