A fox rescue and wolf dog sanctuary unique to Licking County – and North America – took a vast leap forward with its June 3 groundbreaking for an approximately half-million-dollar fox facility.
The new complex is key to one central Ohio couple's mission to save foxes from perishing in the fur trade.
Molly and David Schulz are the driving forces behind the “Walking Wild Fox Rescue and Wolf Dog Sanctuary,” a one-of-a-kind rescue center “providing every animal indoor and outdoor space to ensure everyone is comfortable,” according to Molly Schulz.
Walking Wild's stated goal is "to not only provide every animal in need with a safe, spacious and comfortable place to get a new lease on life, but to educate people about the reality of having a fox or wolf dog in your family and the sad fate of foxes that are born into the fur trade.”
