Haddonfield businesses boom during pandemic in South Jersey

A South Jersey couple who had long wanted to start a business opened the casual clothing shop nineNorth Boutique amid surge in coronavirus cases.
Meanwhile, a former teacher turned stay-at-home mom opened a children’s clothing boutique called A Little Whimsy with COVID-19 restrictions in place.
DiBartolo’s Bakery expanded, opening a second pastry shop with an outdoor cafe. William Heritage Winery opened its first tasting room outside Gloucester County and two more pizza shops arrived on the food scene.
These and other businesses contributed to an overall boom of new and expanded businesses in 2020 despite the coronavirus pandemic. Officials say 26 business opened or expanded here last year.
