Pike County Sheriff David E. Greenwood said deputies and officers from Pleasant Hill and Pittsfield police departments handled several calls March 25 about graffiti being spray-painted on businesses throughout the two communities. Authorities determined there had been similar reports in Calhoun County, where an arrest warrant had been issued for William A. Friedel, 64, of Hamburg on a charge of felony criminal damage to property, according to court records. Friedel was arrested March 25 at Lambert International Airport in St. Louis on the warrant and extradited back to Illinois.
