Authorities determined there had been similar reports in Calhoun County, where an arrest warrant had been issued for William A. Friedel, 64, of Hamburg on a charge of felony criminal damage to property, according to court records. Friedel was arrested March 25 at Lambert International Airport in St. Louis on the warrant and extradited back to Illinois. ....

On March 25 th, 2021, the Pike County Sheriff’s Department, Pleasant Hill Police Department, and Pittsfield Police Department responded to several reports of graffiti spray painted on businesses throughout Pleasant Hill and Pittsfield. According to an announcement from Pike County Sheriff David Greenwood, investigations into the incidents determined there were similar crimes throughout Calhoun County, Illinois.
